Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei is a target for Lazio and other big clubs across Europe ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.
Sources close to the situation informed us CaughtOffside that Casadei will likely be available this winterand that Lazio is currently showing the greatest interest in the young Italian midfielder.
Casadei arrived at Chelsea as a big prospect but has struggled for playing time at Stamford Bridge and now looks likely to at least be allowed out on loan this January.

As things stand, Lazio are understood to be willing to go with Casadei on an initial loan with an obligation to buy, although the Blues are also unwilling to just hand the 21-year-old over, so a substantial fee could be required.

If Lazio can’t make a good enough offer, Casadei could also have other big opportunities across Europe, with AC Milan and Fiorentina among the other Serie A clubs interested in the former Inter Milan youngster.
Dutch Eredivisie duo PSV and Feyenoord are also interested in Casadei, as well as Real Betis from La Ligabut it may be that he will be more inclined to return to Italy.
Casadei has progressed well during his time at Inter and it could make sense for him to attempt another spell in Serie A to revive his career after this challenging period in English football.
Chelsea fans may be disappointed that Casadei was unable to make a bigger impact as he looked like a smart signing when he first joined.
However, CFC supporters will also be aware that this current project of signing top young talent from around the world will never produce a 100% success rate.
Some players are starting to look very promising as teenagers, but Casadei could be one of those who just hasn’t developed as expected, in which case it’s probably best to move him.
