Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa has struggled for regular playing time at the club since joining them at the start of the season.
The 27-year-old Italy international has struggled with injury problems and has been left out of the squad for the match in recent weeks. According to Transfersthe player is determined to leave Liverpool in search of regular minutes and several Italian clubs would be ready to offer him an exit.
Inter Milan, AC Milan, Napoli and Fiorentina all want to secure his signature. The report states that Liverpool want to keep the player but his determination to leave could make them consider leaving.
However, Liverpool will not allow him to go on loan without an obligation to buy. It will be interesting to see if clubs interested in the winger will be willing to accept Liverpool’s terms.
Chiesa was considered one of the best attacking talents in Europe a few years ago, but injuries hampered his development. He needs regular minutes to get back to his best place.
A return to Italy would be ideal for the player. Playing in his comfort zone could help him regain his form and confidence. The 27-year-old knows the league well and could settle in quickly and make an immediate impact. It remains to be seen where the player will end up.
Meanwhile, Liverpool should add attacking depth to the side if they allow the Italian to leave in January. It will be interesting to see if they can sign the right players next month. They could use a dynamic striker who can join the goals and create creativity.
They are in the midst of a title challenge and cannot afford to weaken the team.
