Ange Postecoglou admits Tottenham’s recent form ‘hurts immensely’ but believes the team can turn things around.
Spurs grabbed a late equalizer to draw 2-2 with Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday – a result that means Postecoglou’s side have won just twice in their last ten games in all competitions.
Tottenham remain in the bottom half of the table, two points behind 10th-placed Brighton, but Postecoglou’s side have been decimated by injuries in recent weeks.

“It hurts because I’m responsible,” Postecoglou told Sky Sports.
“When I see how hard the players are working, it hurts even more. I wanted them to be rewarded for their efforts. It hurts immensely. I am responsible for where we are now.
“I will continue. We have work to do to get help with these players. Our role is to help them do their best.
“I see how hard they work. If we had been the sharpest, we would have scored the third and fourth goals, we were within a few centimeters.”
Voicing his frustration at the current injury list, the Spurs boss added: “We lack the dynamic movement that we need.
“Where does Deki (Kulushevski) get his energy from? Dom (Solanke), Sonny (Son Heung-min). These guys have fighting energy and are not as sharp as we can be.
“We are dealing with a large part and nothing is going smoothly for us in terms of returning players that would allow us to refresh the team. When we get one back, we’ll lose one.
“It’s up to me to fix it” 🗣️

“At some point we will get a healthy team and we will be able to play at a high level. We showed that we can beat anyone.
“There is always an opportunity to run. It’s secondary to getting the players supported both physically and mentally and in terms of numbers.”
Tottenham are next in action when they host Newcastle in their first game of 2025 on January 4.
