Week 16 kicks off a pretty busy round of games as the NFL playoff picture becomes a little clearer. There are still four spots up for grabs in the NFC, and the Washington Commanders are looking to squeeze into the last available spot. They will face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, which is always a tough matchup for any team.
Still, here’s everything you need to know about the Commanders’ primary offensive playmaker, Terry McLaurinand his fantasy outlook for Week 16.

For a while it looked like the Kliff Kingsbury effect was going to catch up with them Commanders from Washington in the second part of the season. After a stunning start led by rookie Jayden Daniels, the Commanders’ offense has slumped, leading many to wonder if the league has already figured them out.
A 42-19 triumph over the Tennessee Titans in Week 13 put those notions to bed, but a narrow 20-19 victory over the New Orleans Saints reopened some old questions.
For his part, Terry McLaurin made history in that Week 15 win over New Orleans by becoming the first Washington receiver to score in double figures in a season since Gary Clark (1991). McLaurin finished the night hauling in seven of his 10 targets for 73 yards and two touchdowns. It was his second straight week with multiple points, fourth overall this season.
At this point, the volume is clearly there, and McLaurin is essentially matchup-proof in this offense.
One man who isn’t quite as immune to pairings as Terry McLaurin Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen. The Bears take on the Detroit Lions this week, and even if the NFC’s top dogs have suffered a slew of injuries on defense, we’re not exactly thrilled about this matchup.
On Monday night, Allen reached a season-high 155 receiving yards, his sixth triple-digit total of the year. However, Allen failed to impress in the Week 13 loss to the Lions.
It’s hard to bet on any Bears receiver at this point. Caleb Williams he also hasn’t shown any signs of development, while players like Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels have taken on much of the load on offense when needed. The match is not good, the attack is awkward. We recommend you stay away from Allen this week.
Sportskeeda’s Start/Sit Optimizer agrees, projecting a 12.7-point return for McLaurin with a decent touchdown shot.
