LG is bringing it a lamp that doubles as a small garden until CES 2025. The “home gardening tool” is designed for the home dweller or anyone with a backyard to enjoy their home produce.
During the day, LG says the lamp with a round lamp illuminates the LEDs in five colors for any color you want to grow. Then, at night, the lights come on overhead to create a cozy glow in any room you’ve installed a lamp in. If you’d like something that’s a bit smaller and taller than the seat, LG also has a similar version of the side table.
The tall, vertical lamp can hold up to 20 plants at once, according to LG, and the whole setup is flexible so you can have large plants or herbs and flowers. The real beauty of LG’s design, however, is that you don’t have to worry about watering. There is a 1.5 gallon tank built into the base of the lamp that can spray enough water for whatever you plant. Both lamps are also connected to LG’s ThinQ software so you can adjust the lighting and watering time remotely.
LG launched its previous homegrown device, the LG Teaat CES 2022. The larger, refrigerator-like device can also grow and water plants, but it’s not nearly as glamorous as the company’s new lamp. With all the features it has, LG’s new lamp is really cool one Sonos speaker remote to be the ultimate living room accessory. At least until the tech industry finds another use for the lamp.
LG’s new home appliance doesn’t have a release date or price, but expect the company to share more information once CES 2025 gets underway.
