Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is aiming to win trophies in the new year after the Gunners saw off Ipswich to second place in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta’s side have finished second to Manchester City in each of the last two seasons and now trail Liverpool by six points in 2025.
The Gunners are also doing well in the Champions League and have a Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle coming up.
“This was a good year. “We did well, but that’s not what we want,” Rice said.
“Maybe towards the end (of last season) we felt that pressure”

“I hope that the new year will bring trophies. Take the next step and be among the elite. We can keep winning, but it means nothing if you don’t win anything.”
Kai Havertz’s goal was enough to beat Ipswich and make it eight wins in 11 games since back-to-back defeats in November.
The Gunners have been frustrating in front of goal and Rice says they need the service of other teams to stop Liverpool – who face West Ham on Sunday.
“Immense respect for them. They’re full throttle,” Rice said.
“They’re not letting anyone breathe and we need someone to help us so they can drop some points.
“I think Chelsea were outstanding. They were amazing the way they played.”
