After checking and checking again It’s James Gunn Superman cart In recent weeks, I was on top of Superman. For this to continue, I thought so making Lego during Christmas break,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Christopher Reeve Superman films. The movies I’ve seen—I was old enough to see them IV in theaters – but it hadn’t been seen systematically in years. What I found is one of the lowest speed I can think of, although I believe the original has two movies that were adapted.
Everyone can agree that the 1978 film by Richard Donner Superman it’s a classic. It is so popular and full of memorable moments that it still stands as one of the greatest films of all time. Obviously, it’s the best of the bunch. Superman II It’s a step down but it completes the story of the movie well, giving us a full circle with the characters of Clark Kent and Lois Lane and ending all of General Zod.
Then I discovered Superman III and immediately I knew it was a bad decision. It begins with Richard Pryor’s character in the unemployment office. Then, magically, he becomes the world’s greatest computer hacker. Clark Kent returns to Smallville and becomes surprisingly close to an old classmate. Pryor and his evil boss create a fake kryptonite that is actually a cigarette and turns Superman into an ass. So we should see him be an ass for a long time. In the end, Superman beats himself up, becomes normal again, fights computer hackers and inexplicably forgives Pryor’s character. It is, frankly, a huge piece of shit.
Superman III it really pissed me off. If I wanted to watch a Richard Pryor movie, I would do this. This was clearly Richard Pryor’s co-star Superman video, not the other way around. It doesn’t understand the characters, it doesn’t develop an interesting plot, it’s filled with all kinds of extraneous gags, and it works better as an anti-smoking ad than anything else. This really worried me because I had seen it before Superman and Superman II several times in recent years, I can’t remember III or IV also. All I remember was, I think, IV he was the worst of the bunch. So when I started, I was skeptical.
Going in with those low expectations, I really got it Superman IV: The Quest for Peace to be greater than Superman III. It’s still bad – let’s not forget that – but I’m trying to be a Superman movie. He is back in love with Lois Lane, and Margot Kidder returns throughout the film. Lex Luthor has a new plot and Gene Hackman is back for the rest of the movie. Superman has to fight against another international character in Nuclear Man. And this quality is working to improve the world. These are all things that are understood to be important, in one way or another, to the DNA of a Superman movie.
Of course, it’s all done with ease, and none of the actors – apart from the always special Reeve – care one bit about what they’re doing. Superman IV they forget the scenes of other movies, they look bad, they feel too small to be licensed, and their parts are terrible. It’s a terrible, terrible movie. But it is a step up from the abomination of the past.
When the movie ended (Superman IV it’s also about 45 minutes shorter than the previous three, mercifully, though there are many reasons for that), I felt very confident in my rankings. One is one, two is two, four is three, and three is four. It honestly felt like a no-fail series. So, I looked it up on Wikipedia and Rotten Tomatoes to see Superman III they have been tested better, though not more, than IVI was a little surprised. Obviously it’s the story I had in my head going but watching two bad movies back to back, after the first and the second good, I felt like history was wrong. Superman III it is dangerous in every sense of the word Seeking Peace it’s terrible, where I’m trying to be a Superman movie. And that put it on top.
Fortunately, Warner Bros. has the perfect mouthwash for these two atrocities. No, not an unofficial follow Superman Returns since 2006. We mean Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, Interesting facts about the person and the character. That may be the best Superman movie out there.
All these videos are available on Max.
