Like Bush, outgoing Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., another member of the team who took office in 2021, is leaving Congress after lose a Democratic primary this year.
Bowman has indicated he may seek office again.

“The liberating aspect of no longer formally being in Congress is that I now have the opportunity to serve and support my community in a variety of ways. There are many ways to teach and be an educator and lead in terms of “education. There’s a lot of ways. to influence electoral politics, I think from a community organizing perspective and a fundraising perspective where that goes,” Bowman said. City and State.
