Liverpool’s talisman and star of the season Mohamed Salah is in brilliant form this season.
On Sunday, he made history by becoming the first player to reach double figures in goals and assists in a single Premier League season before Christmas.
In Liverpool’s convincing 6-3 win over Tottenham, the Egyptian provided his 10th assist and scored twice to take his tally for the season to 13 goals.
The feat also saw him overtake Liverpool legend Billy Liddell, making Salah the club’s fourth all-time leading goalscorer with 229 goals.
He also overtook Thierry Henry in the Premier League in four games less, and registered his 103rd assist, 10 more than the Frenchman.
It is no surprise that he is showered with praise before entering the New Year.

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka continues to impress with his versatility and creativity and has been instrumental in helping Mikel Arteta’s men keep pace in the title race.
His recent hamstring injury will be a major concern, especially if he is sidelined for a similar period to Martin Odegaard, who missed some key games earlier in the season which correlates with Arsenal’s dip in form.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was again a revelation, putting in outstanding performances that drew comparisons with legends of the game.
His ability to dictate play and his goal threat have been key to Chelsea’s strong league position under Enzo Maresco, despite being written off by most fans and pundits before the start of the season.

There has been a catalog of brilliant goals so far this season, but one stands out from the rest.
Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran scored a sensational goal against Everton that left fans and pundits in awe.
Collecting the ball near the halfway line, Duran showed off his speed and strength, dribbling past multiple defenders before sending a thunderous shot from outside the penalty area into the top corner.
His performance off the bench for Villa has now earned him a starting spot, dethroning Ollie Watkins in recent weeks and keeping him there thanks to his remarkable consistency in front of goal.
Leicester City’s James Justin scored an outstanding goal against Arsenal that deserves a mention.
The defender cut in from the left flank before firing high into the far corner.
Similarly, Newcastle United’s Harvey Barnes scored a similar right-footed try against Wolves, showing exceptional technique and accuracy and proving to Eddie Howe that he may deserve more minutes than he is getting.

The clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool was a nine-goal thriller that showed why many consider the Premier League the best in the world.
Liverpool’s attacking quartet was in devastating form, with Salah and Luis Diaz scoring twice each.
Despite Tottenham’s onslaught, Liverpool’s relentless aggression helped them secure a memorable 6-3 win, cementing their position at the top of the league.
Tottenham’s 3-4 defeat by Chelsea was another thrilling encounter, with both teams alternating the lead in a game filled with attacking flair, which at this point comes as no surprise to Ange Posteoclgou’s men.
Newcastle’s 3-3 draw against Liverpool featured end-to-end action, with late goals securing a share of the spoils in a pulsating contest and is also worth mentioning.
By looking back at what has been, we can make some smart predictions about what might happen in the remaining months of the campaign.

Liverpool’s current form makes them favorites to win the Premier League title.
Their attacking depth and Salah’s brilliance could help them surpass their rivals as we enter 2025.
However, of the last five times Liverpool have been top on Christmas Day, they have only won the title once.
Arsenal have been the best in each of the previous two campaigns but failed to lift the trophy.
Arsenal and Chelsea are expected to secure places in the Champions League, with both clubs showing consistency and resilience.
Chelsea’s investment in young talents like Cole Palmer has paid off, while Arsenal’s squad depth has been key to their campaign.
Manchester City are nowhere near their best, but you’d still back them to reach the Champions League, especially when they have a fully fit squad and a January window of reinforcements.

The battle to avoid relegation is an interesting one, with newly promoted sides Ipswich Town and Southampton struggling to adapt to the demands of the Premier League.
Leicester also face their own challenges, with defensive weaknesses contributing to their precarious position. However, fans will be backing Ruud van Nistelrooy to turn his fortunes around.
Wolves are in a similar position, but a 3-0 win at the weekend could be the spark they need to move up and away from the relegation zone.
