A series of 3 ODIs in between Pakistan and South Africa started in Paarl. Saim Ayub’s stellar 109 and Salman Ali Agha’s all-round performance of 4 wickets and 82 runs saw Pakistan chase down 240 runs with three balls to spare.

In the Cape Town ODI, the Pakistani batsman set a mighty target of 330 for South Africa. Rizwan scored 80, Babar 73 and Kamran Ghulam 63 off 32 were the architects of the defensive target. A bowling unit led by Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah restricted South Africa to 248. Shaheen’s 4 wickets and Naseem Shah’s 3 wickets helped Pakistan to an 81-run victory.

The final and third ODI was held in Johannesburg. Saim Ayub shines with a classy century. Debutant Sufiyan Muqeem with 4 wickets for 52 runs rocked the batting order in South Africa. This all-out team effort by the men in green led to a historic 36-run victory via the DLS method at the Proteas’ ground.
