Watching Dan Da Dan’s First Season 2 is more fun than fun

The first (and best) season of It’s Da Dan it ended a few days ago, and it didn’t take long for Science Saru to start announce a second season was making. It’s good news, but good news? Jump Festa gave a first look at what will happen to Momo, Okarun, and the rest of their pages.

Last we saw, the show was in the early stages of “The Cursed House”, and saw the two of them traveling with Momo’s childhood friend Jiji to exorcise an evil spirit from her house. Waiting for it to appear, it seems that they may not have been wrong: Jiji and Okarun found a hidden room in the house full of charms, while Momo was attacked by a group of men from the village. Children can have Turbo Granny with them, but they may be more vulnerable than previous threats such as aliens and Acro-Silky. and this does not cover the terrible derision of the “Avatar of Hatred” and the desire to destroy humanity, and the interest in Jiji’s youth.

It’s Dan Da Dan has always included supernatural horror, and this trailer leans heavily towards the latter. You know how some TV or movie writers sometimes call their sequel darker than the original? This is like that; where the season one trailers let you know you were in for a good time, this one wants you to fear the gang as they figure out what’s going on and try to complete their mission. A glimpse of the main villain of the arc, “Avatar of Hatred,” gives off a more menacing vibe than Turbo Granny does, and it looks like things are moving forward in some pretty big ways.

Why does the Avatar want to wipe out humanity, and what does Jiji have to do with those plans? When will we find out It’s Da Dan will return to Netflix and Crunchyroll in July 2025.
