Canoo has put workers on “unpaid leave” after a partial layoff at an Oklahoma plant this week


After announcing this week that founders of EV Canoo sent an email to the remaining employees to inform them that they have been placed on “unpaid time off” and will be locked out of the company’s system at the end of Friday, reports. The displayed email is Results TechCrunch it is said that the break will be at the end of the year. Canoo announced Wednesday that it is winding down its Oklahoma factories “as it works to finalize the capital it needs to continue its operations.”

Canoo has experienced it , and the departure of several senior officials last year. They was adding 30 employees this fall. Canoo’s announcement Wednesday said the company is now “in advanced discussions with various sources.” In a statement about the cuts, Mr. Canoo said, “We regret having to lay off our employees, especially during the holidays, but at this time there is nothing we can do. We hope to be able to bring them back to work soon.
