Prominent investor Marc Andreessen recently spoke about meetings with Biden’s staff that gave him the ideas he wanted AI control by working with two or three large AI companies, blocking out everyone else through onerous regulations.
Andreessen did not mention OpenAI, but it is said that he would have benefited from it. However, OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, dismissed Andreessen’s claim as a “conspiracy”. this week’s podcast with Bari Weiss.
“I mean, we were in a room with them, with other companies and executives, but not like, ‘Here’s our conspiracy theory, we’re going to make it so that only a few companies can do AI and then you have to do it. that’s what we’re saying.’ There’s nothing like it,” Altman said.
Either way, Altman and other senior tech leaders are moving quickly from the Biden administration, give millions to Trump’s first fund.
