The latest online only school bright and Arizona State Board for Charter Schools comes with twists: a academic courses will be taught completely by AI.
Charter Schools – independently run but funded by the government – often have more autonomy than public schools when it comes to education. But Unbound Academy workwhich offers “AI-powered learning technology” that “enables learning in a two-hour window,” is the first of its kind. (The founders of Unbound have been running a similar program at a “high school” in Texas, which seen in man.)
The Unbound strategy leans on ed-tech platforms like XL and Khan Academyand students have “interactive, AI-powered platforms that continuously adapt to their learning style and style.” There they will to be people, less of them, and maybe not real certified teachers: it will take the approach of “person-in-the-loop” and “talented leaders” to monitor their progress who can provide “expected activities” and teaching to each student.
Courses are limited to two hours only. The rest of the student day will include “life skills workshops” covering areas such as critical thinking, problem solving, financial skills, public speaking, goal setting, and entrepreneurship. The online school only targets students from 4th to 8th grade.
