Frito-Lay said in an announcement Monday that they will recall the fries for an undeclared allergen.
In the announcement at Frito-Lay, on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) website, said its recall centers around “undeclared milk” in bags of Lay’s Classic potato chips that are labeled as 13 ounces.
“People with a severe milk allergy or sensitivity are at risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product,” the announcement says.
The recall affects select chip bags scattered throughout retail stores and e-commerce distributors starting last month in Oregon and Washington, according to Frito-Lay.
“There have been no reported allergic reactions related to this item to date,” the company said.
Frito-Lay also told people to discard the bags if they have an allergy or sensitivity to milk.
