NFL and Netflix fans can have a vacation on Roblox through a cool football game NFL Universe Football and Nextworldinspired by the NFL Christmas Game streaming on Netflix.
In celebration of these NFL matchups, users can participate in special football challenges in both experiences, unlocking one of four user-generated content that is awarded after the teams playing on Christmas Day: Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Houston Texas.
NFL Universe Football will launch its holiday event on December 17th, giving players the chance to connect with friends and find exclusive Christmas & NFL merchandise, craft items, go on Scavenger Hunts, and more.
Nextworld, which is Netflix’s platform on top of Roblox, will present the launch of a mini-game of the NFL on December 19 with NFL-branded UGC products that users can access through the game. This partnership will encourage action on a variety of issues.
“The experience inspired by the NFL Christmas Game on Netflix provides a fun and light-hearted opportunity to bring users the magic of gaming on the Roblox platform,” said Ed Kiang, vice president of video games for the NFL, in a statement. “From Nextworld to NFL Universe Football, fans can celebrate Netflix’s Christmas Day team meets in new and exciting ways.”
“Our vision for NFL Universe Football has been to make it possible for fans to engage with their favorite sport year-round,” said Harry Bienenstock, chief growth officer at Voldex, in a statement. “Seeing a 40% increase in visits year over year shows that players love what we’re building. This winter, we’re excited to connect more fans through holiday events and special team rewards.”
Voldex acquired the football game and introduced the NFL brand. In April, Voldex found Utimate Football on Roblox for millions of dollars. Ultimate Football is one of the top UGC games for Roblox and, as of April 2024, it received over 150 million hits in six months. Then, in September, the NFL and Voldex announced that they would put the NFL trademark on the game, changing it to NFL Universe Football.
