Like Google and OpenAI continue to develop the video production environment with their AI models, The way to runanother prominent player in the group, is moving to expand the reach of these high-performance systems. Today, the New York-based company announced a new update talent network which helps brands, agencies and studios hire AI filmmakers.
Starting today, global designers, artists and companies known for AI video tools – such as Runway – will be able to use the network to showcase their work and connect with industry talent seekers. The platform already has many independent AI experts, based in different fields, and production houses.
This move offers two advantages. First, it serves as a critical bridge to help companies looking to advance their production operations with AI find and hire the right video AI talent for their needs. Secondly, it also offers the Runway solution to accelerate the adoption of its videos on enterprise systems. The company says that most of the members in the talent network are from home Creative Partner Programwhere they have access to new Runway tools and AI models.
Although AI video production is a piece of cake today, organizations are well aware that the many tools out there are not enough to replace the depth and accuracy of human-directed video. These tools help to create a variety of ways to work and run smoothly, but one still needs to have experts who can use the models properly and turn the AI taps into very, very high quality.
This means hiring professionals – from creative directors and artists to photographers and video editors – who use AI video tools and can quickly use them to identify what organizations want, create pre-production portfolios of different styles (according to the concept), and then combine them all together with sound effects and other elements to prepare the final video/film.
So far, finding this kind of talent has proven challenging, with teams struggling to integrate AI into their project processes.
“With millions of users and thousands of companies using Runway, we have always felt that one of the things that is often needed is to find new talent and experts to help integrate AI in different processes – from concept and pre-production to final frames,” Runway wrote. in a blog post.
To bridge this gap, the company launched the Runway Talent Network, which allows independent producers, artists and production companies to showcase their work with AI video tools and be identified by potential brands, agencies and studios looking for talent for video production, TV shows, advertisements or games.
The platform already has many members, including those who are part of Runway’s Creative Partner Program and have access to the company’s latest models and AI tools. Many of these members have also adopted video AI and are pioneering new technologies in their industries, Runway added.
Production companies currently on the network include Tool, Builders Club, Silverside, Obsidian, Zukunft, (AI) imagination, and Harmony Korine’s digital IP-based studio EDGLRD.
As the network has been announced, it’s safe to say that the list of members showcasing their AI work will only grow in the coming weeks. Runway has already established a Google form and questions to bring together many experts and companies. However, the company feels that it is unable to respond to every offer due to the high volume.
In particular, Runway will introduce a different group of workwhere organizations and companies recruiting AI talent will be able to post job listings and requirements, and invite candidates to apply. It is not yet known when this will end.
