Liverpool manager Arne Slott will not be in the technical area when his side visit Southampton in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday (20:00 GMT).
The Reds can move a step closer to a first trophy under the Dutchman when they take on the bottom side in the Premier League.
Slot has led his new club to the top flight after the first 15 league matches, with two points and a game in hand over second-placed Chelsea.
Here’s why the 46-year-old will be serving time at St Mary’s Stadium and what the former Feyenoord manager had to say about the situation.

The game at Southampton will be the only game that Slott does not play as part of his one-match ban following Liverpool’s 2-2 home draw with Fulham.
They will hope to return to the semi-finals if the defending Carabao Cup champions see off their opponents who lost 5-0 at home to Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.
That means Slot will be on the sidelines again when Liverpool take on Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday (4.30pm).
The Carabao Cup match will go straight to penalties if it ends in a draw, with extra time only used in the semi-finals and final.
Liverpool beat two Premier League sides to reach the quarter-finals, beating away West Ham 5-1 and winning 3-2 at Brighton & Hove Albion.

“There were a few moments where I could have been booked,” Slot said after being booked for his reaction to Curtis Jones being booked in the 57th minute on Alex Iwobi at Anfield.
Liverpool lost left-back Andy Roberton to a straight red card after 17 minutes and twice came from behind to rescue a point.
“It’s an emotional game and we were down a man,” he added. “It’s frustrating. It’s good to see our performance after so many setbacks.”
Slott was suspended for three yellow cards as he also saw yellow during his side’s 2-1 home win over Chelsea on October 20 and the 2-2 draw at Arsenal on October 27.
