An advisor of President-elect Trump Campaigner Alex Bruesewitz fainted and collapsed while speaking on stage during a New York Young Republican Club gala Sunday night.
Bruesewitz, 27, was introducing incoming senior White House aide Dan Scavino inside a local in Manhattan when he started stumbling over his words and passed out, a video is showing on social media.
Several people quickly rushed to his aid after his collapse. It was not immediately clear what caused him to pass out.
Master of Ceremonies Raheem Kassam, also a former aide to British Conservative politician Nigel Farage, later assured the audience that Bruesewitz was doing well backstage and even asked if he “looked great” when he passed out .
“I talked to our friend Alex Bruesewitz and you know what he said to me? He said, ‘At least I looked cool?’ I said Alex, you used gravity like I’ve never seen anyone use gravity before in their lives,” Kassam said. “But he’s recovering back there, so give him a big cheer to hear you.”
Trump also said after the collapse that he believes Bruesewitz will be fine, according to the New York Post.
“I know Alex is going to be fine because he’s a tough son of a gun,” Trump said. “There’s no doubt about it. So I want to say hello to Alex, because he’s a very special boy.”
Bruesewitz is the CEO of consulting firm X Strategies LLC, which claims its mission is to help elect “America First” candidates. His website says he is “a prominent political consultant and strategist known for his unwavering support of President Donald Trump and the America First agenda.”
The website adds that Bruesewitz “has been the driving force behind the efforts defeat the Republicans who fight Trump and the MAGA movement and work to replace them with Republicans who fight for the values we hold dear.”

Before his collapse, Bruewitz appeared to be fine as he praised the New York Republican Club for supporting Trump’s campaign. He also gave shout-outs to several supporters of the new president who attended the event, including former Florida congressman Matt Gaetz, who recently resigned his seat in the US House.
