KALLE SAUERLAND is calling on the fans to lead him when it comes to the third season of the World Boxing Super Series. The promoter hopes that the new season, with weight categories “between one and three”, will start in the first half of 2021.
Sauerland, which is in the early stages of planning, said Boxing news that there are currently five potential tournaments in play: heavyweight; light heavyweight category; middle category; fly/super-fly; and women super-pen.
The next stage of development is about measuring exactly what fans want. Once he has that information, he will formulate his proposal and take it to the WBSS Board.
“It’s more important than ever that the fans get their vote,” Sauerland explained to BN. “Tell me what you want. Don’t worry about politics and promoters and broadcasters or that fights are already in the planning stages. We have overcome significant obstacles before and we will do so again.
“Call me the Bob Geldof of boxing!”
