Diogo Jota scored within eight minutes of returning from an 11-game injury lay-off to rescue a point for Liverpool as the 10-man Premier League leaders avoided a surprise defeat at home to Fulham.
Rodrigo Muniz’s improvised close-range finish 14 minutes from time looked to be the end of the Reds’ 18-game unbeaten run, Antonee Robinson bringing the Brazilian forward to tap in after Alex Iwobi’s incisive work down Fulham’s left.
Liverpool, who had Andy Robertson sent off six minutes after Andrea Pereira’s 11th-minute opener, grabbed their first equalizer when Cody Gakpo met Mohamed Salah’s diving header two minutes after half-time.
Fulham climbed to ninth after becoming the first of the last four teams to visit Anfield to score, while Liverpool are five points clear of second-placed Chelsea, who host Brentford on Sunday (19:00 GMT).

Arne Slott’s side have been in quiet form since their 1-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on September 14, including winning each of their last three games at Anfield with 2-0 wins against Manchester City, Real Madrid and Aston Villa.

After being helped early on, Robertson may have wished he had gone when Robinson’s cross flew over his head and found Pereira at the far post, whose shot hit the roof of the net over the Scotland captain.
Robertson was then sent off after miscontrolling the ball into the path of Harry Wilson and hastily pulling him down in an attempt to atone for his mistake, although there was a lengthy video review by the assistant referee for offside before the decision was upheld.

Silva’s players looked comfortable, but Liverpool did not look like a depleted team, switching Ryan Gravenberch to centre-back while Joe Gomez took Robertson’s position on the left.
Gakpo’s goal capped a thrilling start to the second half for his side, only for Muniz to restore Fulham’s lead within nine minutes of coming on to put them within reach of their first win in seven against Liverpool, having beaten them last time out at Anfield in 2021.

Sloto’s late changes included the introduction of Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott and Jota into the attack and the Portugal international showed why he has been missed by Liverpool.
Jota collected Nunez’s pass, turned to advance inside the box and slot in with four minutes remaining for his first domestic league goal in more than 10 months.
