Goodville introduces AI support for mental health as part of WHO collaboration


Mobile farming sim Goodville is celebrating the third anniversary of its partnership with a World Health Organization (WHO)and as part of this partnership, it has introduced new tools and psychological counseling. A major addition is Sara, an in-game AI assistant who provides support and information on mental health based on WHO guidelines.

According to Goodville, players can take interactive tests that are integrated into the game. Sara will analyze player feedback and provide advice and insight in response. Sara is one of several assistants in the game, all of whom offer health advice to players. Developers report 2,500 daily transactions with healthcare providers.

In an interview with GamesBeat, a spokesperson for Goodville said, “Putting advice into the game makes it accessible and interactive. Players interact with Sarah through a series of questions, based on her suggestions. This method allows players to receive important information in an easy and fun way, encouraging understanding and applying advice in real life.”
