Apple’s AI Rewrites BBC Headline That Luigi Mangione Shoots Himself

The BBC has filed a complaint with Apple over the matter, embarrassing the tech company and damaging social media’s reputation if readers believe it is posting fake news. They have no control over how iOS chooses to summarize their information.

Artificial Intelligence has great potential in many areas, but language models are perhaps one of the worst trends. But for a company connected to a polished experience, the wrong information summary and the slick ChatGPT can make iOS look unpolished. It sounds like they’re running on the hype train to sell new iPhone products – an iPhone 15 Pro or newer is required to use the feature.
