The Esports World Cup Foundation provides $20M for the development of affiliated clubs


The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) announced this week that it is expanding its Club Partner program, its way of supporting the esports club ecosystem around the world. The program is growing to 40 clubs, 10 from its previous number, and has $20 million in funding to expand this. Interested clubs can apply for membership until January 10, and those who are accepted will receive a six-month grant to grow their club.

Out of the 40 slots, the EWCF plans to offer invitations to the top eight clubs in the EWC 2024 competition and leave another 32 slots open for applications (member clubs must renew their membership annually). This year, it plans to target the major markets of China, Southeast Asia, LATAM and MENA. Clubs should have a competitive playing history and social media presence.
