A New Jersey State senator calls on Gov. Phil Murphy to declare a state of emergency to ground all drones as a way to get to the bottom of ongoing reports of drones swarming the state garden during the last few weeks.
state senator Jon Bramnick, a republicansaid Saturday on “Cavuto Live” that he also wants the FAA to join the state of emergency as the public grows increasingly frustrated with the lack of answers about what’s happening in the skies.
Bramnick says he has reached out to Murphy about enacting a state of emergency, but has not heard back.

“I’ve been quiet and we’ve met with the state police (who) have no information. Can you imagine? The Department of Defense must have a serious secret if we can’t get information about car-sized drones that fly over our military bases.”
Since mid-November, a series of unidentified drone sightings have been detected near US military installations and over residences in New Jersey, including President-elect Trump’s Bedminster golf course, which is causing alarm Apparent drones have also been spotted in New York City, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, among other states, as well as more than three US air bases in the United Kingdom.

FORMER GOVERNOR DETECTS MYSTERIOUS DRONES IN MARYLAND, EXPLODED BY LACK OF TRANSPARENCY
The Secretary of National Security, Alejandro Mayorkas on Friday said the government does not have the authority to shoot down drones and believes reports of some sightings are cases of mistaken identity.
The apparent lack of transparency about the situation has fueled conspiracy theories and raised national security concerns that a foreign entity may be behind the mysterious sightings.
The government’s dismissal of witness reports also upsets residents who believe the government’s responses are insufficient. Some have threatened to take matters into their own hands and shoot them down.
“Every time someone comes out of the secret briefing, we get the same response,” Bramnick said. “‘Well, we need more information,’ but apparently it’s not a threat. Now, I don’t know how they’re determining that. The Department of Defense must be talking to somebody because they sure as hell aren’t talking to any of the residents in New Jersey.”

“The Department of Defense needs to explain why they don’t know what it is car-sized drone he’s doing, where he’s coming from, where he’s going. Is it sinister? Is there any kind of threat? Don’t you think the Department of Defense should have this information? The technology is there.”
Bramnick says the state doesn’t have the equipment or resources to deal with drones. He points out that the Garden State only has two state helicoptersand when one of those helicopters was sent to investigate a drone, its lights went out and it fled.
“Now that’s an indication that the drone isn’t here for a good purpose, otherwise I guess someone operating the drone would tell the state police what it’s doing. That’s why we need to ground all drones right now Bramnick added. .
