Wargaming is an online game developer and publisher based in Nicosia, Cyprus. Operating since 1998, Wargaming has grown to become one of the leaders in the gaming industry with 15 offices around the world. The game was developed in Wargaming’s office in Guildford, United Kingdom.

“It’s been a while since we’ve announced anything that isn’t in the ‘World of’ genre,” McDonald said in an interview with GamesBeat. “In the beta, anyone can join and play the game. We are very excited. I think we have something great and unusual here.”

The team is building the game on Unreal Engine 5 for PC initially as a third-person shooter that draws elements from superhero shooters, combat racers and shooters. The game will be released first on Wargaming Game Center and Steam, with console versions coming later.

A duel between Steel Hunters.

In Steel Hunters, players take control of mechanical giants, called Hunters. They are basically mechs because they have their own personalities. They are basically people who mix with mechs. Play two PvPvE battles with six teams of two.

There are many customization options for both matches and out matches. The game is set in a disaster world, and the player’s goal is to protect Starfall. Falling stars are like fuel for the new world.

“It helps people survive when the world ends human activities in shelters or in space,” McDonald said.

This battle will test the players’ tactical skills. The second main pillar is dual symbiosis, where two groups can be closely related. The game starts with seven Hunters, and each of them is 8 to 15 meters tall.

Third-person shooters are deliberately paced to give players time to make smart decisions. Inventory management must be important and there are limited repair kits that mechs can carry. Equipment is limited. Towers can be found on the map and this provides important places for players and players to play. Hunters can be modified in different ways.

Trenchwalker Hunter is a combat unit equipped with a shotgun that fires bursts. Paths can go through the house. Each map is like an entire region. There is a vertical progression and skill tree where players can give skill points and choose a custom mech.

Wargaming has been putting a lot of effort into developing games, and some have been stopped along the way for various reasons. Steel Hunters has been operating for several years with a team of 210 people working in Guildford and Prague.

In the future of the game, Earth becomes uninhabitable. A huge meteor strike hits the earth and these objects called Starfall fall from the sky. And there are some people in nature who are not affected by the consequences.

There may be an esports element in the long run, but only if players embrace the title more. The interest has to be there first, said Dan Tanaescescu, director of media at Wargaming, in an interview.
