Manchester City had record revenues of £715m last season – but profits were down on the previous 12 months.
For the 2023/24 season, which saw Pep Guardiola’s side win an unprecedented fourth Premier League title in a row, revenue rose from £712.8m to £715m for the year to 30 June.
However, profits fell from £80.4m in City’s treble to £73.8m, with transfer revenue falling as Guardiola’s side missed out on the Champions League final.
City’s current investments include a £300m extension to the Etihad Stadium’s North Stand.
Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said in the club’s annual report: “Our constant ambition to aim and achieve the unprecedented is a hallmark of the organization we have become.
“On and off the field, our passion for the next challenges is underpinned by thoughtful and detailed planning and a shared belief in the culture of collaborative learning we’ve built.
“Our focus remains on further development and growth, and thus further value creation in all aspects of our business.”
City are awaiting a decision on more than 100 charges of alleged breaches of financial rules brought against them by the Premier League, which were only briefly mentioned in the financial report. The club rejected all the accusations.
