First to the fox: House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, noted that he is not done with his oversight of the FBI Director’s Office manager, Christopher Wray, even after the intelligence official intelligence announced that it was going down
Jordan said Wray’s resignation was “great” news and dropped his handling of the FBI in comments to Fox News Digital on Wednesday.
“I mean, Chris Wray was, you know, investigating the mothers and fathers who show up at school board meetings. He put out a memorandum to say, ‘If you’re a pro-life Catholic, you’re an extremist.’ FBI retaliated against whistleblowers who came forward and gave us this type of information. attacked President Trump’s home“” Jordan said.

Wray previously denied targeting pro-life activists. He also defended the FBI’s handling of a Department of Justice (DOJ) memo that raised alarms about conduct at school board meetings, though he said last year there was “no compelling justification for the law at national level” for the publication of the Directive.
Jordan has made no secret of his thoughts on Wray’s leadership, overseeing Multiple inquiries from the House Judiciary Committee under his leadership.
Asked by Fox News Digital if that oversight will continue, Jordan said, “Oh, yeah.”
“And there are, we think, the reports that will be done, you know, shed even more light on what’s happened down the line from the inspector general’s line,” Jordan said.
He also praised President-elect Trump’s new nominee to head the FBI, Kash Patel.
Fox News first reported Wray’s intention to step down seven years into his 10-year term earlier Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Trump’s pick to replace him had already been meeting with senators for days ahead of a planned confirmation hearing.

“After weeks of careful thought, I have decided that the cabinet will serve until the end of the current administration in January and then step down. My goal is to keep the focus on our mission: the indispensable work you are doing every day on behalf of the American people,” Wray told FBI colleagues. “In my view, this is the best way to avoid dragging the Cabinet deeper into the fringes, while reinforcing the values and principles that are so important to how we do our work.”

Jordan told Fox News Digital he wasn’t surprised by Wray’s decision.
“I mean when the president nominates somebody to replace him, you gotta go, man,” Jordan said.
