Amazon has discounted the best of Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones. All four colors — black, midnight blue, silver and smoke pink — are currently $298, or 25 percent off their regular price of $400.

With the Sony WH-1000XM5, Sony has updated its excellent 1000X line to make the new model more comfortable. The company also upgraded the XM4’s powerful noise canceling capabilities, adding four ANC mics. These improvements make the WH5 better at blocking out background noise, including human voices.
Other notable features include a 30-hour battery life, crisp and clear audio and the inclusion of physical and touch controls. The biggest downside to the XM5 is that it costs more than previous Sony headphones. Fortunately, this sale solves that problem for good.
