Bose’s Wacky Open Earbuds Won My Reluctant Heart

After testing Bose for a long time, I began to unpack the niche uses Best noise canceling websites it cannot be the same. The dog walk is better, especially with any wind, which can blow your ears when you use the open view. I was rolling with one bud on the scene, one ear open to notice. Now, I’m drawn to the sense of calm on our morning commute, even if the traffic sometimes ruins the vibe.

I soon found other casual ways to fill the gap, from working in the office or kitchen while spending time with my wife to walking around the store or hanging out with the neighbors on yard work. Why kill music, when you can have it all?

Bose has been using additional methods to make its blades more expensive. If you have a new Bose soundbar like the Smart Soundbar (8/10, WIRED Recommends), the Open Earbuds can now double as surround speakers, creating an AR-style connection between the speakers in the room and the surrounds in your head.

Perhaps my favorite (and stupidest) Ultra Open story came on a recent Thanksgiving trip to my wife’s parents’ house. American football is a staple in many families, but not theirs. There is only one flat-screen TV, no cable or antenna, and no one else to entertain. Don’t take it! I had my Open Earbuds with my phone, which allowed me to watch the game and still have a polite conversation. The breakthrough came when I loved watching Tim Allen The Santa ClauseI hung out with family, and I saw my alma mater win their first game, all at the same time. Now that’s it many jobs.

The Ultra Open Earbuds are not always the right choice, and are often the wrong ones. I think everyone needs good noise canceling sheets, and most can’t justify a second set, especially one with a list price of $300. It’s higher than most noise barriers.

Even so, I can’t deny the benefits of having a good pair of open ears, and these are the best I’ve found. To borrow a phrase, Ultra Open sparks happiness, and I have come to rely on it every day. You win, Bose. I’m a drag.
