Jude Bellingham scored for a fifth straight La Liga game as Real Madrid bounced back from a midweek defeat to beat Girona.
Bellingham, Arda Guler and Kylian Mbappe scored on Saturday as Los Blancos saw off Girona 3-0 at the Estada Municipal de Montilivi.
The 21-year-old English midfielder becomes the first Real player since Karim Benzema in 2021 to score in five consecutive league games.
Bellingham had not previously found the back of the net this season prior to this recent scoring streak.

Real’s number five opened the scoring in the 36th minute before setting up Guler for his side’s second stoppage time finish.
Bellingham then had to be replaced by Dani Ceballos after the kick.
Real added a third when Kylian Mbappe scored his ninth La Liga goal after being picked out by Luka Modric.
The result comes just three days after Madrid lost 2-1 at high-flying Athletic Club and moves Carlo Ancelotti’s side within two points of leaders Barcelona with a game in hand.
Real’s Catalan rivals played out a 2-2 draw at Real Betis earlier in the day. Robert Lewandowski scored his 23rd goal in 21 club games this season, but it was not enough to stop Barcelona dropping points for the fourth time in five La Liga games.

Lewandowski netted in the 39th minute at the Benito Villamarin Stadium before Giovani Lo Celso equalized from the penalty spot in the 68th minute after Frenkie de Jong was sent off for bringing down former Barca team-mate Vitor Roque.
Ferran Torres restored the visitors’ lead, but Betis scored an equalizer in the 94th minute thanks to Assane Diao and secured a 2-2 draw.
Next up for Real is a trip to Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday, while Barcelona travel to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.
