The controller allows you to choose to turn the fire off or keep it warm until you’re ready to take a break. Plus, you can cut the cord and throw a soft microfiber pad in the wash to freshen it up.

I suffer from an injury to my sciatic nerve which tends to pop when I sit down too much. When I work from home, I tend to find myself getting too involved in work and not stopping as often as I should, which leads to pain. When this happens, I know I’ll have to break out my Sunbeam heater that I’ve had for a few years now.
It is very reliable and has many temperature settings to control the temperature that drops. It is available in several sizes, but I took the medium size to cover my back at the same time to reduce my back pain. It has a fabric cover, which has held up well over the years I’ve used it.

I grabbed the Sunbeam heater because the most important thing about a heater, to me, is the ability to turn it off automatically. I’m good at taking pain meds, turning on the heater and sleeping. Not the best way to live. So it’s nice to know that my heater automatically shuts off after two hours of use. This style fits perfectly everywhere, heats up well and I don’t have to worry about it being uncomfortable because I’m wearing it.

I should spend the extra money and get a corded lighter, but I don’t feel like I’m getting enough use out of it. Whenever I have back pain, I use my microwavable pad to relieve it. Just pop it in the microwave and let it cool naturally in your body. The rice and flax inside was able to hold heat for 10 minutes, which seemed to be long enough for my back to stop hurting. Your results may vary.
