Apple wants to make its Vision Pro integrated device better for gamers and game developers, according to new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Vision Pro is set up as more a tool for creating and using media as opposed to something that focuses on players, due in part to relying on eye and hand control rather than involving another controller.
But Apple may need gamers if it wants to grow the Vision Pro’s audience, especially since Gurman says less than half a million units have been sold so far. So the company is reportedly talking to Sony about adding support for PlayStation VR2 controllers, and is also talking to developers about whether to support the controllers in their games.
By providing the right guidance, Apple can also make other types of software, such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Photoshop, work with Vision Pro.
